Here are a few:
Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park is Beaufort’s most popular park. Located in downtown Beaufort along the scenic waterfront of the Beaufort River, it's home to many of Beaufort's popular festivals and a host of city events. The multi-acre park is about three city blocks long and provides a breathtaking view of the Beaufort River, the Woods Memorial Bridge, Lady’s Island, Port Royal Island and even the northern tip of Parris Island. It includes many amenities including landscaped green space, riverfront walkways, old bench swings, a pavilion and a brand new children’s playground; with a variety of trees swaying in the breeze that provide a very relaxing atmosphere.
Lots of folks enjoy the little park with the cannons at the foot of the Woods Memorial Bridge in downtown Beaufort. Locals like to call it Cannon Park, but its actual name is Stephen Elliott Park; after a local Confederate Army General from the Civil War. A popular spot for weddings, thousands of photo opportunites and amazing views overlooking the Beaufort River, the park is home to historic cannons that were once removed from a British warship that was captured locally during the Revolutionary War. Seasonal flowers in the park's gardens add to the beauty of Stephen Elliott Park.
Just off of Boundary Street outside downtown Beaufort SC, Pigeon Point Park is a spot that offers a great place for adults and kids to enjoy the outdoors. It’s many live oak trees draped in beautiful Spanish moss provide shelter from the sun on warm days and some seriously alluring scenery. The park’s amenities include a large shaded playground area, picnic tables, open spaces, plenty of parking and comfort facilities.
Southside Park is a 38 acre tract located along Southside Boulevard just off of Ribaut Road. Southside Park offers large open spaces, walking paths and beautiful wooded landscapes. A popular spot for large gatherings, family reunions, picnics, weddings, special events; it's also home to the City’s only dedicated dog park, where your pets can roam, run and play freely. Large dogs have a full acre to run and smaller pets have their own dedicated half acre of space.
